Does TVT compare scanned PDFs?

Can scanned or vectorized PDFs be compared?

Unfortunately, TVT does not support scanned pdf files at the moment.

After you upload your files to TVT, the software will highlight readable text in orange before comparison.

As a result, you will be able to see the number of words in each document in the Status bar at the bottom right of TVT. If one of the files is not highlighted in orange before the comparison, you will also see a message in the Status bar stating "Words in copy: 0" (or Words in Original, depending on the case).

This indicates a flat or scanned PDF

If the comparison would be run now, TVT would show a warning message in a pop-up window.

TVT cannot place the indication marker for the deleted text properly, because there is no reference for the correct position, as there is no text at all in the document.

If the documents are different in layout, they cannot be compared with TVT at the moment.

Do the documents share an equal layout like in our example, and the additional Artwork Module is activated, the comparison as "Full Page Image Pairs" can be performed.
