Helps you identify whether you have a cloud license or a local installation
TVT largely has 2 types of license types:
1) Cloud License
2) Local Installation (Team Rented License and Machine Based which is no longer sold)
How do I know what my license type is?
Cloud License
If you use a username and a password to login and use TVT, you are using the cloud version.
Eg., your username would be firstname.lastname@tvtaas (for TVT 11 and upwards). For earlier versions, it is your firstname.lastname.
Note: Please note that the username format is a convention we follow, however, it is only an example and it can vary for individual users in certain cases.
Local Installation
If you just launch TVT from your desktop directly and you do not use a username and password to login and access TVT, you are most likely using a local installation of TVT.
This local installation could be a Team Rented license or a Machine Based license as both are local installations.
In a Team Rented license, one license is used for the entire organization/group/set of users. Whereas, in a Machine Based license, as the name suggests, the license is limited to one single machine.
