Your serial number is always unique to your computer/team/organisation depending on the type of license you have
Machine-based (Legacy) License:
In case you have a machine-based license (legacy), then your serial number is unique to each computer as the name suggests.
Team-Rented License:
If you have a team-rented license, it is possible that your entire organization has one serial number, or there are chances that only your team might have a serial number, depending on your organization and how they have purchased TVT with us.
Where/How to find my Serial Number?
Whether you have a machine-based license or a team-rented license, the location of the serial number does not change. It is always found in the file named 'SHPKeyFile.xml' under the installation folder. An example path is as below:
C:\Program Files\SHP Text Verification Tool 11.1.1\SHPKeyFile.xml
Once you open this file in an XML editor (or browser), the second line in this file contains your serial number.
